Cat MacBride Inspired Photographs
For the first photo, I cut out a silhouette of Daisy Buchanan from black cardstock paper. Next, I opened the book The Great Gatsby, placed the newly cut out bookmark into the page, and then completely erased the words inside of the cutout. From here, I chose a rather famous quote from the book, and, using the same font as the book was printed in, I typed in the quote in a darker color than the rest of the words on the page, to make this quote stand out more.
For the second and third photos, I laid out thirty nine quarters and one penny on top of a large piece of white poster paper. The paper with the coins was then placed into a photo tent, lit from both the left and right sides, which I used in shooting these photos.
