Cat MacBride Inspired Photographs
For the first photo, I cut out a silhouette of Daisy Buchanan from black cardstock paper. Next, I opened the book The Great Gatsby, placed the newly cut out bookmark into the page, and then completely erased the words inside of the cutout. From here, I chose a rather famous quote from the book, and, using the same font as the book was printed in, I typed in the quote in a darker color than the rest of the words on the page, to make this quote stand out more.
For the second and third photos, I laid out thirty nine quarters and one penny on top of a large piece of white poster paper. The paper with the coins was then placed into a photo tent, lit from both the left and right sides, which I used in shooting these photos.

Pumpkin Photoshoot
I believe that the three photos above are my strongest three photos, out of the 150 photos that I shot.
For the first photo, I set up my pumpkin with three candles from a set, with each candle standing at a different height, on top of my mantle. In a dark room, with the only light coming from the candles, I set up my tripod and camera very close to the set up, with an exposure of 1/100, and an ISO of 6400.
For the second photo, I took my pumpkin outside onto my front porch, where you may typically find a carved pumpkin at the end of every October. As this is a Halloween tradition, I decided to surround the pumpkin with candy, and I even strung up some fake spiderwebs on and around the pumpkin and candy, sticking to a Halloween theme. Using the lights from my front door, I set up my tripod a few feet away and zoomed in a little bit for this shot, and used an exposure of 1/8 and an ISO of 6400.
For the third photo, I set up my pumpkin on the bench of my back deck, and surrounded it with the many leaves that have fallen this month. Using the light from the outside of the house on my deck, I set up my tripod a few feet away, and took this photo with and exposure of 1/8 and an ISO of 6400.

Reflection
My favorite photograph from Photo I would have to be that of the steering wheel of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. I love this photo, mainly because of the colors of the photo, taken at sunset, as well as the subject, as I focused the camera on the steering wheel of the car. I consider my photo of a shell on a decorative piece to be my strongest photo, as I believe that it shows an understanding of how important it is to consider depth of field when taking an interesting photograph. I struggled with the project involving the use of the liquify tool (not sure if Photo I did this last year), as it was hard for me to get the results that I wanted without completely messing up a part of the photo that I did not want to touch, and having to restart again. I would like to work on proper lighting for taking photos this year. The only obstacles that I faced last year came from post processing my images, as I used too much or not enough contrast in some of my photos.
